Welcome 2 Karachi 1080pCLICK HERE ===> this time both the dubbing and the voice acting of the film seem to have been given a very fancy and slightly Americanised touch. The language seems to be a combination of English and a non-geographical Indian language, almost like Hindi. Also, the songs and the tunes have a different Indian feel to them. But given Karachi's reputation for working-class indifference, it is understandable that the producers would want to send their film to Pakistani cinemas with an easy-to-digest backdrop. It has been a long time since Pakistan's cinema has felt creatively inspired. The industry has been stagnant, its problems familiar and its business cycle ad hoc. This film is a welcome release, a summertime interlude and another in a series of international co-productions that offer up a familiar but acceptable blend of weak international talent and local starships that has been the industry standard since the early 1970s. Come On My Fair Laddie is refreshing because it serves up a set of characters that have rarely been seen on Pakistani screens before and is rarely more than a fluffy West End musical at its core. (The film's exact team includes veteran actor Anwar Hussain, the Pakistani "spokesperson" for Hollywood movies since the late 1960s and a choice of his supporting cast include Khayyam, Gulrez, Ahsan Khan, Azra, Saeed Jaffrey and Ayesha Khan). "Pull" in Karachi means "sleep" in Urdu and hence translated into English, "Come On My Fair Laddie" basically means: "I'm tired, have a good sleep". But while Karachiites might love the film for its humour and familiar, safe backdrop, they are unlikely to find the film more important or meaningful than anything else that is out there. If anything, it should be guilty of our stagnation, for it gives audiences a respite from cinema on which our industry has become sick with. c8b82c0f98
